Horsey Horseless. Designed in an era where cars and horses shared the road and horses found it darn terrifying. The idea was that a horse head on the front of the car would make horses think there was a horse pulling it and wouldn’t be scared. Because if horses found cars scary before, cars with severed horse heads on the front should be soooo much better, right?

The cartoon is from Penny Arcade, which is one of the longest-running and most popular webcomics on the internet. I don’t read it much because it’s been running since 1998 and I’m frankly overwhelmed by the sheer volume of these things, but they are quite funny.
